Style Diary: Country Heritage

Inside Jigsaw’s ‘Style Diary’ is a weekly series that sees our Fashion Editor try out some of the key trends for the coming season using our Autumn/Winter collection.

"As I have said before, Autumn is one of my favourite seasons. Not only is the countryside glowing with rich autumnal colours, but I look forward to long walks and curling up by a warm fire as the evenings draw in. Now that our weather has finally become more apt for this time of year, it is the ideal chance to showcase some quintessential British style.

Jigsaw Style Diary - Country Heritage

Country Heritage is a traditional trend that is proving prominent this season and Jigsaw has the ideal collection to explore this latest fashion. Featuring in the Style Diary this week is the Herringbone Tweed Riding Jacket. Everyone should own a traditional tweed jacket and what I most like about this Jigsaw version is the contrast moleskin collar.

For a casual country look, the jacket can be worn with a plain white T-shirt and Jigsaw’s vintage wash Skinny Jean. These jeans are perfect for those looking to create a slender silhouette and they boast a very flattering fit.

The Suede Brogue Shoe Boot offers a modern take on the traditional brogue style and provides your wardrobe with a statement piece of footwear. Not only do these boots suit jeans, but I can also see them working well with leggings or tights and a cosy knit dress.

The Country Heritage look is all about exuding British style and Jigsaw’ s Union Jack Leather Clutch is a dream purchase for those hoping to experiment with this trend. Whether you want to go all out with the look, or just give a nod to our national culture, this leather studded bag is a witty way to show your allegiance to the flag."
